TRAINING OFFICER CERTIFICATE (TOC ) Before becoming a Trainer in specific awards, you are required to hold the Trainer Skill Set known as Training Officer Certificate (TOC) in lifesaving. This is the theory and preliminary practical training, before helping to deliver a course as a Trainee Trainer under supervision. To become a Trainer of an award you are required to hold the base award and have at least 12 months experience in patrolling with the award, eg gain BM at 15 years, help with water safety the following season and come back after turning 17 years to become a trainer Trainer. We are always keen to get club members involved in training. It's a lot of fun, great for personal development and a great way to support the community.
